Dr. Tyson Schmidthuber specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, foot and ankle trauma, diabetic podiatric management, and general podiatry.
Tyson earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor US healthcare. He spent time at Touro University pursuing a Master's in Public Health before ultimately earning his medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.
Dr. Schmidthuber completed his 3-year surgical residency at VA Iliana in Danville, IL. His training included a significant time spent at Carle Hospital, a regional level 1 trauma center. During his last year of residency, he was named Chief Resident.

When he is not taking care of patients, Tyson enjoys listening to live music, keeping up with innovation, attending cultural events, surfing, hiking, and basking in the SoCal sun.
Tyson is a member of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).
